About GX Foundation:

GX Foundation was founded in 2018 in Hong Kong as a response to the Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation. It is a tax-exempt charity. The name GX is derived from the Chinese word“共享”, pronounced "Gong Xiang", meaning "sharing". Leveraging Hong Kong's institutional and talent advantages, GX Foundation is a unique non-governmental, non-profit organization specializing in executing humanitarian medical aid in foreign countries.

Our short-term objective is to complete the cataract blindness elimination projects in Lao, Cambodia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Senegal, and to implement vector borne disease control projects in Timor-Leste and other Belt and Road countries. In the medium to long term, GX Foundation aims to become a humanitarian NGO of global influence in the international public health and medical aid sector. GX is headquartered in Hong Kong. Most of the staff are Hong Kong residents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide medical support and guidance to the organization 
• Co-ordinate required medical training to HK project team,  oversea field teams and staff work with patients on-site. 
• Make recommendations to assist on identifying or selection of medical deliverables in collaboration with other departments
• Assist the organization on medical consultation, examination and other clinical services as well as other work related items;
• Communicate complex medical information clearly and ensure understanding by internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, coordinate and oversee the delivery of patient care service at overseas field sites
• Need-based Travel will be required 
• Assist in any ad-hoc assignment whenever necessary

Job Requirements:

• Retired doctor or registered nurse are welcome to apply;  
• Nursing Council of Hong Kong registered with valid practicing certificate ;
• A nursing degree (or equivalent training), with 2+ years post-qualification experience is desirable, title will be adjusted for less experience
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinic operations
• Fluent Cantonese, good command of English and Mandarin.
