We are currently seeking a talented senior manager, IT applications to join our dynamic team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects with offshore development teams, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to a pool of offshore developers (a combination of in-house and in-sourced) ensuring they are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders, such as project leaders, business analysts, and product owners, to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
• Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including developers' workload, to optimize productivity and achieve project milestones.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across the offshore development teams, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
• Conduct regular meetings with the offshore development teams to discuss project progress, address challenges, and provide guidance and support.
• Evaluate and improve software development processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and delivery speed.
• Define and establish system architecture, design patterns, coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability of the codebase. Communicate these standards to the enterprise architect, cloud architect and development teams and manage the implementation.
• Implement quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and adherence to coding standards, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Identify skill gaps within the offshore development teams and provide coaching and training opportunities to enhance their technical expertise. Organize knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to disseminate information and foster continuous learning.
• Evaluate third-party vendors, tools, and platforms that can enhance the software development process. Assess their compatibility with the existing technology stack and make informed decisions regarding their adoption.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, and apply relevant knowledge to improve team performance and project outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in software development, including leadership or management roles.
• Proven track record in leading and managing software development teams, including remote or offshore teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and business users.
• Ability to align offshore software development initiatives with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
• Ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the offshore development teams, fostering a positive work culture.
• Experience in resource management, including workload allocation, talent acquisition, and performance evaluation.
• Experience with designing and architecting software applications, considering scalability, performance, and security aspects.
• Proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and development tools including but not limited to Java, Node.js, Vue.js, React, MySQL
• Familiarity with AWS, Ali Cloud, DevOps practices, and agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, code review techniques, and software testing methodologies.
• Fluent in English and Putonghua.
• Willing to travel frequently to Chinese Mainland.
