Job Description

Job Title:         Manager (Special Projects)
Department:    Global Engagement and Communications Office
Job ID:             10109

Job Posting Details

The Global Engagement and Communications Office is seeking a seasoned communications professional who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager to develop and execute publicity strategies and engagement efforts for special projects, as well as other University initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent writing skills and be able to craft clear and effective messages, as well as devise proposals to generate positive publicity among local, mainland and international audiences.  The appointee should also have a good understanding of current affairs and social sentiments, with sufficient forward-looking abilities in identifying and mitigating potential negative media coverage.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, media or stakeholder engagement, with a special focus on Hong Kong's medical and health sector.  A proven track record in writing and editing; as well as proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, are essential.  Experience and knowledge of biomedical and/or biotechnology development in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area will be a definite advantage.  The appointee should also possess strong computer literacy - including website design and development, good project management skills and a collaborative mindset.  Attention to detail and proactiveness are also crucial. Applicants with less experience may be considered as Assistant Manager (Special Projects). (Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to performance)

(Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement placed on 8 Jul 2024 need not re-apply.)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
