To provide educational support for the work of the Fauna Conservation department, include the wildlife rescue programme, public education displays and endangered species conservation project work.  The successful candidate will also coordinate the education volunteer and intern programme.

Responsibilities

• Organize educational activities and collaborate with other environmental NGOs
• Develop interpretive content of public displays
• Develop animal rescue Facebook stories and Animal Keeper talks
• Handle media approaches related to the department work
• Support the Night Safari project working alongside animal experts
• Develop the connections with nature theme for animal encounters activates
• Develop educational resources and animal story signage for rescued wildlife
• Handle general administrative duties in support of the education programmes
• Provide interpretation service for KFBG visitors and schools
• Train and manage the education volunteer team
• Budget control for the department’s education programme
• Manage and develop the animal photo library

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC
• Excellent command of English and Cantonese (written, spoken and in presentation).  Fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage
• Degree holder in education, biology, geography or environmental science
• 4+ years of working experience in education and/or community education programme  
• Computer literate, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Passion for nature
• Self-motivate, dynamic and a good team player
• Physically fit for frequent outdoor work and willing to work on Saturday/Sundays and public holidays (for education activities)
• Valid Type I or II driving license an advantage
• Open minded and recognizes the validity of all spiritual paths.
