Job Summary:

The Project Officer is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable fundraising strategies for Community Med Care. This includes cultivating partnerships and relationships with corporations, associations, foundations, and religious groups to maximize support for Community Med Care's fundraising objectives. The Project Officer will plan, execute, and evaluate direct marketing campaigns and other fundraising initiatives to drive awareness and secure resources for the organization's charitable programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including corporations, associations, foundations, and religious groups
• Initiate, plan, implement, and evaluate direct marketing campaigns and other fundraising activities to meet fundraising goals
• Develop compelling communication materials, such as appeals, presentations, and donor recognition plans
• Solicit in-kind donations and sponsorships to support fundraising campaigns
• Organize customized charity engagement activities for corporate donors to build awareness and loyalty
• Research market trends and best practices in corporate fundraising to continuously improve strategies
• Assist with other Community Med Care activities and projects as requested

Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing management
• Prior experience in the non-profit or charity sector is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese/Mandarin
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated success in building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Positive, proactive, and adaptable mindset with a passion for the mission of Community Med Care

About Community Med Care 

"Community Med Care" is a charitable organization founded by Professor Wong Tinly, a Chinese medicine expert, in October 2018. It is a registered charity in Hong Kong (Charity Tax Registration No.: 91/17034).

The "Angel Action" is the flagship charitable service of Community Med Care, providing free Chinese medicine rehabilitation clinics for Hong Kong children and adolescents with autism, congenital and acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, as well as those requiring long-term neurological and spinal care, and children with rare diseases. We also provide daily "neurological and spinal health" training for the parents of these children with disabilities, to help them better care for their children's health needs.

Community Med Care primarily provides orthopedic and general Chinese medicine services. It has signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Chinese Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, together with the Hong Kong Association of Chinese Medicine Orthopedics, to establish the clinic as a training base for the Chinese University of Hong Kong's School of Chinese Medicine.
