Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join our team.
As the Sales Manager (China Market), you will assist the Executive Director in the Hong Kong Head Office and work closely with the Assistant General Manager, China for developing and implementing comprehensive sales, marketing, and business development strategies to drive growth in the China market. In addition to managing company's profitability and success, a key focus of the role is to uphold and enhance the company’s traditional brand legacy and reputation.
Responsibilities
In line with the Executive Director’s directives and work closely with the Assistant General Manager, China to
- Oversee corporate sales and retail sales functions, develop and implement comprehensive sales, marketing, and business development strategies to drive growth in the China market
- Manage and optimize the company’s distribution network in China, including the selection and oversight of local distributors and partners
- Regularly visit key regions in China to assess market conditions, identify new business opportunities, and provide detailed reports to the Executive Director
- Foster strong relationships with major retail chains, e-commerce platforms, and corporate clients
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify areas for competitive differentiation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the production, sales and marketing, and back office supporting teams to ensure seamless execution
- Develop and oversee the implementation of effective marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in business development, sales, and marketing, preferably within the food or consumer goods industry
- In-depth understanding of the China market, including consumer behaviors, distribution channels, and regulatory environment. With solid working experience in China is essential.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales and business growth targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Willingness to travel frequently within China.
