Hong Leong Insurance (Asia) Limited ("HLIA") Co., Limited, is a registered insurance company in Hong Kong. It is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad (“HLFG”), a public listed company in Malaysia, and a major associate of Guoco Group Limited in Hong Kong. HLIA has been active in Hong Kong since 1973. It has been assigned an A- (Excellent) financial strength rating from AM Best Company, one of the world’s leading rating agency specialized in insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite all classes of general insurance business for both commercial and personal lines and manage risk exposures through limits and reinsurance arrangement to achieve underwriting profitability
• Handle underwriting enquiry/quotation with broker and agent independently
• Negotiate with reinsurer to set up proper facultative reinsurance arrangement to support and facilitate commercial line business development
• Provide technical support on product revamp and system enhancement for personal line business
• Supervise policy administration team to ensure accurate and timely documentation issuing
• Support for providing underwriting training to junior team member
• Assist in preparing internal management report and statistical data to regulator
• Participate in ad hoc projects and system UAT

Requirements

• HKDSE / Diploma or above, preferably with ACII/ANZIIF qualification
• Minimum 5 years underwriting experience in general insurance company
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing and familiar with Polisy 400
• Self-motivated, hardworking and good team player
