About GX Foundation

GX Foundation was founded in 2018 in Hong Kong as a response to the Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation. It is a tax-exempt charity. The name GX is derived from the Chinese word“共享”, pronounced "Gong Xiang", meaning "sharing". Leveraging Hong Kong's institutional and talent advantages, GX Foundation is a unique non-governmental, non-profit organization specializing in executing humanitarian medical aid in foreign countries.

Our short-term objective is to complete the cataract blindness elimination projects in Lao, Cambodia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Senegal, and to implement vector borne disease control projects in Timor-Leste and other Belt and Road countries. In the medium to long term, GX Foundation aims to become a humanitarian NGO of global influence in the international public health and medical aid sector. GX is headquartered in Hong Kong. Most of the staff are Hong Kong residents.  

Job Description

This job role involves various aspects of HK project development, including grant writing, budgeting, monitoring project progress, and coordinating with other teams at GX. He/she works closely with team members to ensure the effective and efficient execution of projects aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for public affairs, community relations, enquires handling, corporate                                  communications, crisis management and corporate branding

• Plan, organise and manage PR events

• Assist to translate communications materials in Chinese and English

• Help manage corporate social medial platform

• Draft social media content

• Liaise with designer on design layout of corporate materials such as posters and reports

• Develop and strengthen relationship with counterparts

• Prepare media reports, proposals and social media analytic reports

• Co-ordinate marketing activities and liaise with marketing partners, if required

• Work effectively with team members, as well as other departments and external parties

• Organise and lead media trips to project countries and Mainland China

• Assist to maintain publication and photo archive.

• Help to draft / translate communications materials in Chinese and English.

• Help to develop social media / digital marketing strategies

• Assist to prepare media reports, proposals and social media analytic reports

• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirement

• Degree holder in communications, public relations or equivalent

• A minimum of 2 years related working experience

• Exposure to NGO is preferred

• Proficient in Chinese word processing

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Proficiency in Mac & PC software inducing Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint preferred

• Work travel is required
