Job requirements:
 

• Degree in Chinese Language, Translation or related disciplines

• At least 2 years' full time working experience in Chinese editorial and/or English to Chinese translation work, including 1 year of cultural-related working experience in editorial/translation is preferred

• Working experience in museum and/or archive is a MUST

• Experience in managing graphic design and production requirements and the ability to follow through the entire procedure for the production of publications

• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English

• Good knowledge in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Access

• Proficiency in Chinese and English data entry

Responsibilities:
 

• To edit the Chinese texts of thematic publications with fact checking and research

• To edit the Chinese texts for the online resources

• To write up Chinese texts for the publications, including promotional materials, and translate articles mainly from English to Chinese

• To proofread Chinese articles contributed by freelance writers and translators engaged

• To compile and manage the databases for information on films

• To support the production of all publications and perform any other related duties assigned
