Our client in the events and hospitality sector seeks a senior communications professional to lead its corporate communications function, reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, this role oversees a boutique size team primarily engaged in corporate messaging, CEO communications, media relations, marketing communications and brand management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive corporate communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Take ownership of CEO speechwriting, corporate announcements, media and press release management, crisis & issue communications.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on corporate communication and public affairs.

• Maintain strong relationships with local and international media; proactively identify and craft compelling corporate stories.

• Oversee corporate branding initiatives to support reputation building and stakeholder engagement.

• Develop and manage KPIs and feedback mechanisms to evaluate communication impact and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the communications team.

• Manage budgets and ensure compliant and effective use of resources.

• Support CSR & ESG communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Marketing, or related disciplines.

• A minimum of 10 years in communications roles within sizable, complex organizations, with at least 5 years focused on corporate communications at a managerial level.

• Government bodies / NGO working experience would be a plus.

• Proven expertise in CEO speechwriting, media handling, crisis communications, and corporate branding.

• Deep understanding of public affairs and stakeholder relations.

• Tri-lingual, fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), mandatory requirement.

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.

• Experience managing high-performing teams and working effectively under pressure.

• Credibility to represent the organization confidently before media and stakeholders.

• This position offers a strategic mandate to shape the corporate voice and enhance the public reputation of a leading organization with a significant local and international footprint.
