Responsibilities:

• Create financial reporting systems and processes that comply with HKFRS and HKMA requirements.

• Record procedures for regulatory reporting, ensuring timely returns and submissions to both HKMA and Head Office.

• Validate and review the General Ledger structure within the core banking system to ensure a proper chart of accounts and reporting hierarchies.

• Conduct thorough testing of system data flows, including interface testing across modules (loans, deposits, treasury) and GL to ensure data accuracy.

• Document posting rules for the GL concerning all banking transactions.

• Review existing internal controls and accounting policies for the branch.

• Develop and test month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with the relevant teams.

• Prepare management accounts and create a financial reporting framework and templates.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years in accounting and finance roles within the banking sector in Hong Kong.

• Professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

• Experience with corporate banking finance, preferably at a foreign bank branch in Hong Kong.

• Strong understanding of HKMA regulatory requirements and the banking supervision framework.

• Proven track record in setting up financial reporting systems and controls.

• Excellent grasp of HKFRS and regulatory reporting mandates.
