Job Summary:

As an Investment Director, Fixed Income at Schroders Investment Management Hong Kong Ltd, you will report to the Head of Multi-Asset and Fixed Income Management, Asia. You will be the client facing Investment Specialist representing Fixed Income focused on building the Schroders credit and macro brand regionally and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the principal champion and technical expert for global and regional fixed income products in Asia, providing thought leadership.
• Develop and execute the strategic product plan for fixed income, covering both global and regional credit and macro strategies.
• Partner closely with Client Group distribution teams to build the overall (Global & Asian) Fixed Income brand and assist in sales efforts.
• Develop and deliver effective product messaging and client-centric solutions in collaboration with investment, Client Group distribution, and client servicing teams.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities, support product innovation and differentiate Schroders' offerings.
• Partner with investment teams to support product development, new product launches and enhancements, ensuring solutions are market-relevant and meet client demands.
• Ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team and with stakeholders across investment, distribution and other functions; both globally and regionally.
• Allocating work, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards of output and service across the team.
• Engage directly with key clients, consultants and prospects, representing Schroders at industry events, client meetings and forums.
• Support business development by providing fixed income expertise during RFPs, pitches and client due diligence meetings.
• Monitor and assess regulatory changes across Asian markets, ensuring that product structures and materials remain compliant.
• Maintain up-to-date product documentation, fund literature, and marketing collateral.
• Lead and manage part of the fixed income product team in Asia. This includes:
o Setting clear targets, objectives and development plans for direct reports.
o Providing regular coaching, guidance and feedback to support their professional growth.
o Conducting performance appraisals, identifying training needs, and facilitating career development opportunities.

Essential Skills:

- At least 15 years of fixed income investment advisory / product design and implementation experience
- Deep knowledge of currencies, rates (macro) and credit markets
- Highly methodical and able to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Prior experience and a proven track record in driving business strategies
- Enjoys working in a team environment across locations
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to support and encourage an inclusive culture at Schroders
- Ability to develop new ideas and approaches that impact on existing methods, policies and approaches with the key question 'How can I improve this?'
- Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Bloomberg / Reuters Eikon
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Self-starter
- Language capability: fluent in English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese
