Project Title: RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme project “Bottom-up Assessment
Reform: The Student-centred Assessment-driven Learning (SCADL) Platform”
[Appointment Period: 12 months]
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is seeking qualified and highly dedicated researchers
to provide research support to an RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme project entitled “Bottom-up
Assessment Reform: The Student-centred Assessment-driven Learning (SCADL) Platform”. This 5-
year project aims to develop an online adaptive learning system for schools. The appointee will
assist in duties such as learning platform development (e.g., Human-computer interaction design,
Design-based Research, Computational Design) and innovative AI-supported educational research,
contributing to the development of next-generation adaptive learning technologies. The initial
appointment period will be 12 months and may be extended upon mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a PhD degree, with a background in Educational Technology, Computer
Science, Education Measurement, Psychometrics or other related disciplines. They should
demonstrate evidence of scholarship, including research outputs and relevant experience in related
fields. Applicants must be able to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and function effectively
both independently and as part of a team.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end
gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
