Purpose

How will you make the most of your time off this summer? Following the footsteps of Cathay’s innovative spirit, our Digital & IT Summer Internship Programme is designed to nurture talent into future leaders of aviation technology.

As a Cathay Intern, you're more than a student — you're a member of our dynamic Digital & IT team. Over the course of 8 weeks, interns will be exposed to a wide range of industry-leading digital and IT projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to impactful initiatives, and move your career forward with Cathay.

Interns with outstanding performance will also be fast-tracked in the application of Digital & IT Graduate Trainee Programme.

About the Programme 

• During the eight-week internship, you will be embedded in ONE of the following teams, where you will contribute to transformative projects in an ever-changing aviation environment with the latest technologies:

  • Business Digitalization

  • Data Analytics

  • Infrastructure and Security

  • Solution Centre

  • Strategy & Planning

• Through structured visits, training and on-the-job experience, you will be equipped with practical knowledge and skills needed to deliver innovative solutions that drive competitive advantage.

• You will also engage with experienced digital & IT professionals, building connections and networking with peers who are equally passionate about shaping the future.
  

Job Requirements 

• Non-final year undergraduate with a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline; Digital / IT related degree would be an advantage

• Right to work in Hong Kong (non-local students with No Objection Letter (NOL) are also welcome)

• Strong academic performance

• Excellent command of written and spoken English 

• Knowledge in web/ mobile design/ development, IT risk & security, cloud computing, data analytics or business analysis would be an advantage 

• Innovative, adaptive, and open-minded 

• Passion for aviation and a career in the Digital / IT field

• Available to work full-time from 2 July to 27 August 2026
