About this role:

We are seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role focuses on leveraging financial and operational data to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring accurate insights for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, combined with the ability to apply data analytics to improve business outcomes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, especially Product, Marketing and Tech, to ensure the business has access to reliable data and actionable insights.

What you’ll do and what success looks like:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Perform variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning.

• Analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards for senior management.

Data Analytics & Insight Generation

• Use data analytics to enhance financial models and scenario planning.

• Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

• Support strategic initiatives with data-driven recommendations.

Data Management & Automation

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data from internal systems.

• Develop automated reporting solutions using tools like Power BI or similar.

• Maintain KPI tracking systems to monitor financial performance.

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Tech teams to align financial insights with business goals.

• Communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Data/Statistics as a minor or additional qualification is a plus).

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or management reporting.

• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial statement reporting is required.

• Working knowledge in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Proficiency and ability to learn other languages and tools will be an advantage.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling preferred.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
