Job Description

As a member of the Global Security Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Security Manager, based in Hong Kong, with the implementation and management of the Global Security and Health and Safety Policies and strategy; identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across all regional business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas.  This position will also serve as the primary point of contact for the China market; to provide expertise, direction and support on all matters relating to technical & physical security, health and safety matters, risk identification, analysis & mitigation, travel & transport security and investigative matters. The incumbent will have a proactive approach and work closely with all business lines.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct security assessment, and if required, due diligence, on all prospective vendors and other third party providers prior to contract approval

  • Conduct security assessment of all company facilities and off site locations in APAC. This includes offices, private and public venues

  • Provide security service and support to business units, the regional Facility Management, Health and Safety and Security Director (the “FM Director”) and the Managing Director of APAC

  • Maintain and update all security-related records and analyze relevant data.  Proactively monitor, follow-up and report on activities and provide relevant management information

  • Keep updated on all possible security threats to the APAC region

  • Manage security contractors within budget and ensure quality service and best value is delivered

  • Assisting and supporting the senior security manager and the FM Director to ensure compliance with local Health & Safety codes and standards rolled out by the global security team as well as the laws and regulations applicable in the relevant regional offices

  • Assist and support the development of Health and Safety initiative, plan and programme.

  • Assist and support the provision of health and safety related training and employee engagement activities

  • Assist and support the monitoring of injury, illness, and incident related performance and report promptly.

  • Assist and support the management of emergency response plan to deal with emergency situations for the health and safety of employees and those working for the firm.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education – Completion of tertiary education and/or a background of armed forces or law enforcement are preferred

Personality: Self-motivated, reliable, creative, confident with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality results. Established, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior representatives of the company and other organizations. 

Communication: Must possess a strong ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management, business clients, colleagues and external parties

Language: Good English (oral and written) together with fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (oral and written)

Prior Experience: 5-10 years of experience, preferably within a law enforcement or government agency in the region and in a professional security position with commercial experience, preferably in the luxury industry

Travel – Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel approximately 25-30% of time within the Asia region and occasionally globally
