Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Design and Alteration (Technical), to provide in house technical support including but not be limited to 

• Design and planning for any Alteration and Addition Works for the HK Portfolio;

• Scrutinize proposal for any re-layout projects; 

• Response to prospects technical enquiry from building regulations and licensing perspectives (e.g. F&B and PPE), etc;

• Prepare technical feasibility studies for any initiatives like asset enhancement, space planning, change of use, renovation and decoration, etc;

• Prepare programme, cost estimation and conduct value engineering for the abovementioned projects;

• Liaise and coordinate with any stakeholder within the organization for the approval and execution of projects;

• Provide architectural support to procurement exercise including tendering & contract administration for alteration works;

• Oversee the execution of Alterations and Additions projects, including management of consultant for government submissions, construction, cost and quality control; & 

• Evaluate fire safety improvement proposals as required by the Cap.502 from both compliance and commercial perspective.

Requirements  

• Degree holder in Building Surveying, Building Studies, or construction-related discipline.

• MHKIS under Building Surveying Division or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

• Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in feasibility studies, renovation, A&A, fit-out works, at local commercial properties including office and shopping arcade in which 2 years in managerial level / post qualification experience.

• Well versed with the latest relevant ordinances, code of practices and the best technical practices in the building industry.

• Having experience in licensing submissions for building projects would be an advantage.

• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and people management skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Customer-oriented and mature professional with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS applications, BIM experience would be an advantage.
