Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Estate & Trust Planning: Structuring trusts, managing administration, and facilitating intergenerational wealth transfer.

  • Taxation: Advising on tax liabilities, compliance, and structuring for efficiency.

  • Investments: Guiding on various investments (PE, hedge funds, real estate, etc.) and related regulatory issues.

  • Governance & Compliance: Developing governance structures, ensuring compliance (AML/KYC), and managing legal filings.

  • Asset Management: Handling acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing of diverse assets (businesses, property, art).

  • Dispute Resolution: Mediating and litigating family or commercial disputes to protect assets and relationships.

  • Corporate Matters: Assisting with legacy business transactions, restructurings, and capital structuring.

  • Human Resources: Advising on family office and employee compensation, benefits, and HR issues.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Law; admission to the bar in Hong Kong or another recognized jurisdiction.

  • Experience: Approximately 8 years of relevant experience in corporate law, preferably in financial services, investments, or technology sectors.

  • Expertise: Strong expertise in handling corporate transactions, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively across diverse teams and jurisdictions.

  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and professionalism, particularly in managing sensitive and confidential information.
