Responsibilities:

• To assist in project management of the Sustainable Agriculture Pioneer Scheme of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden.
• To design and implement community conservation projects related to agriculture and /or forest resource utilization that reduces the threats to biodiversity conservation
• To support content write up and the production of environmental outreach materials.
• To participate in the implementation of environmental outreach and public awareness projects/activities.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC
• Bachelor of Science degree related to agriculture, ecology, biology, conservation biology or botany 
• Experience in farming, particularly permaculture, agroecology, or agroforestry is preferred
• Candidates with lower qualifications and experience will be considered as an Assistant Agro-ecosystem Officer
• Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin and English
• Good computer literacy
• Knowledge in GIS and multimedia production is preferred
• Good people skills and good understanding of conservation issues in Mainland China
• High level of initiative and ability to work under limited supervision and under pressure
• Passion and keen interest in community conservation work
• Physically fit for outdoor work and willing to visit rural communities
• Frequent travel to China is required
• Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
