Job Description
Job Summary
Ensure all phases of front desk operation, daily cleaning, housekeeping and equipment up-keeping of Green Hub to assure a safe, sustainable and pleasant learning environment to visitors and facilities users.
Major Responsibilities
Operational support
- Coordinate and support the attendants to undertake daily cleaning, gardening and general housekeeping work quality to visitors and facilities users in Green Hub
- Work closely with Green Hub staff and volunteer to cultivate a vibrant culture.
- Back up Visitor Experience Team members to assure functions. Provide operational support to other teams on event organizing and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Serve shopkeeper’s function one day per week.
Customer service
- Support front desk operation to perpetuate high quality reception services to Green Hub visitors and facilities users.
Inventory management
- Manage storage of consumables to ensure supplies to daily operation be well maintained.
- Manage inventory of general supplies to daily operation as per the KFBG/GH’s guidelines and policies.
Other duties
- You are expected to undertake other duties as requested by Head of SLD and Programme Manager for the realization of the Green Hub’s objectives and the Farm’s mission.
- You are expected to strive to work in line with the KFBG values, in pursuit of the Vision and Mission of the organization, and to self-assess your performance in this regard.
- You are expected to participate in activities arranged by KFBG with the intention of developing the organizational culture.
5-day work per week. Working on Sundays and Holidays is essential.
Job Requirements
Academical requirements
- Minimum of high school graduate or above.
Years of experience and experience relevancy needed
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in retail or customer service.
Major competences that are required for the position
- Proficient in written and/or spoken Cantonese, Putonghua, English, and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of gardening would be an advantage.
- Fit and willing to do physical fieldwork in a range of weather conditions.
Personality qualities that are essential to be succeeded in this role
- Good organizing and interpersonal skills and able to interact effectively with people from different sectors of society.
- Have a deep appreciation of sustainable living and good knowledge of sustainable living practices.
- Responsible, self-motivated, good team player and well organized.
- Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
- Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
