Our client, a leading global bank, is looking for an experienced system engineer with strong functional exposure in storage and backup to start with them immediately. This is a rolling contract opportunity with high chances to be turned into a permanent role.

Closely working with a dynamic team, you will be playing a critical role towards system and back-up maintenance and change implementation. 

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Strong functional awareness in NetBackup configuration & installation, change implementation
• Familiarity with Backup Appliance, patch management, Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances 
• Responsible for regular system maintenance, troubleshooting, maintaining complex backup scheduling, and upgrading the backup servers
• Analyze and resolve security challenges and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Experience in managing operating system, internal databases and applications and configuring and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup
• Good awareness of Linux and scripting, SLP, Vault, TCP/IP concepts, SAN Infrastructure and Architecture

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Technology degree with strong experience in data backup infrastructure design and implementation
• Ability to analyse and address complex Backup and storage challenges 
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders 
• Possess good attention to details, with a demonstrated ability to work on multiple project related priorities 
• A team player with proven track record of working with diverse teams and stakeholders
