Assistant Finance Manager, US listed

We are seeking a talented finance professional for a prominent US company. This individual will oversee their GL team and actively participate in various initiatives, including process optimization, SOP development, and system improvements.

• GL Accounting & Project Management position
• A good understanding of US GAAP and regional experience is highly preferred
• Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor GL team in HK for statutory accounting, periodic reporting, coordinating statutory audits, tax returns, and compliance for North Asia companies
• Prepare timely and accurate management reports, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliation for top management's review
• Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support Finance Manager on budget & forecast of operating expenses and variance analysis
• Serve as the key liaison with regional entities
• Refine SOPs, re-evaluate procurement policies, and propose additional controls as needed
• Review and develop operational policies, establish effective procedures, streamline the operation flows, and identify any potential issues
• Support and engage in system implementation or enhancement projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines with related professional accounting qualifications such as HKICPA/ ACCA/ CPAA
• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial operations like statutory and management reporting, preferably at a multinational corporation
• Background working with multiple legal entities under different jurisdictions, ideally with regional experience across Asia
• Proven experience implementing systems and reengineering accounting processes
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and HK GAAP standards
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, fluent in spoken Mandarin
• Ability to accept new challenges, proactive, self-motivated, and willing to speak up
