Job Title: Head Receptionist – French Restaurant (HORA Group) - Wan Chai

Our newest venture—an upscale French restaurant—celebrates authentic cuisine, warm service, and refined Parisian ambience. We are looking for a professional and charismatic Head Receptionist to lead our front-of-house guest relations team.
Position Overview
The Head Receptionist is the face of the restaurant and is responsible for delivering an exceptional first impression. This role oversees guest reception, reservation flow, seating strategy. The ideal candidate is polished, organized, and genuinely passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Front Desk Leadership
Warmly greet guests upon arrival and ensure a smooth, welcoming introduction to the restaurant.
Manage guest seating to optimize flow, ambiance, and dining experience.
Resolve guest concerns or special requests professionally and promptly.
Maintain an elegant and inviting entrance area at all times.
Reservation & Table Management
Oversee all reservation platforms and manage booking patterns based on restaurant capacity.
Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager and Chef to ensure proper pacing and guest satisfaction.
Monitor waitlists and communicate wait times accurately.
Team Supervision
Lead, train, and supervise the receptionist team to uphold HORA Group service standards.
Schedule Receptionist shifts and ensure adequate coverage for peak periods.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance updates as needed.
Operational Excellence
Collaborate with management on service flow, event planning, and large bookings.
Maintain accurate reporting on guest counts, VIP lists, and reservation trends.
Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards at the front-of-house.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience as a Head Receptionist or Senior Receptionist in a fine-dining or luxury restaurant.
Strong knowledge of French or European dining service is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and warm, confident demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy) is an advantage.
Ability to lead and motivate a small front-desk team.
