Pay: HK$30,244 to HK$55,233 per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible to the Biomedical Engineer and Senior Electrical Technician for carrying out acceptance tests, repair and maintenance, quality assurance program, calibration, etc. for biomedical equipment.

2. Provide quality assurance checks, safety checks, and technical assessments on biomedical equipment under the direction of Biomedical Engineer and Senior Electrical Technician.

3. Provide preventive and corrective maintenance services for biomedical equipment.

4. Assist supervisor on handling field safety notice issued by manufacturer/international regulatory bodies.

5. Assist supervisor on handling investigation on medical equipment related incident.

6. Perform on-call duties, attend emergency call, work outside office hours and work irregular hours when required.

7. Perform any other technical duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Entry Requirements:

1. A Higher Certificate or a Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent from a polytechnic or technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent.

2. 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in equipment maintenance.

3. Knowledge of English at a standard equivalent to Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (Syllabus B) or Level 2 or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education.

 Preferable Attributes/Exposure:

1. Knowledge and experience in biomedical equipment testing and maintenance, or calibration.

2. With working experience in healthcare setting.

3. Able to work independently and under pressure.

4. Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Access.

5. Knowledge on programming such as Excel Macro for task automation, web language (e.g. HTML5 or ASP) etc.
